206. Freaking Corset

I recently discovered Cathie Jung’s corset in one of my classes. It is so shocking to believe that someone have a 15” waist. Yes its totally true, the smallest waist belongs to Cathie Jung (USA, b. 1937), who stands at 1.72 m (5 ft 8 in) and has a corseted waist measuring 38.1 cm (15 in). Un-corseted, it measures 53.34 cm (21 in).

Her interest in Victorian dresses and corsets inspired her to do this on aging 70 years old body. I feel it as ironic and extreme experiment to prove one’s enthusiasm over Victorian dresses :/

202. Awesome Yosemite

Hi all, I have had an awesome and lively long weekend. Trip to Yosemite is one memorable excursion. Though the rim fire tried to grime Yosemite, it was looking gorgeous as always and is still a most spectacular national parks.

The giant sequoias, huge glacier point, never ending trekking to Nevada falls, tiny ground squirrels, intelligent coyotes, gazing mule deers, beautiful sunset, unexpected rainbow @ vernal falls & more and more made my trip beautiful and unforgettable. I never seen such an amazing sunset ever. The most exciting adventure was zip lining. I never imagined myself so inspired and fearless.

The only thing upsets me now is, being a lazy photo clicker. I was more into fun than taking pictures this time. But of course, have few clicks, hope you like them.

196. Spicy Ginger Dipping

Spicy sweety soury acrid ginger chutney fills my everyday snack time. This multi flavored chutney can be a great dipping and side dish for a meal.

Take equal proportions of ginger, jaggery, tamarind, red chillies.

Soak tamarind, break jaggery in small pieces and grind all 4 ingredients into a semi solid mixture.

Take a hollow pan, add oil. Once the oil is heated up, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and curry leaves. Then add the grinded mixture. Be careful while adding the mixture as it splatters. Add salt for taste.

Once added, keep frying the mixture in oil with constant stirring. The color of the mixture changes to light brown to dark brown losing its raw scent.

Then the Ginger Chutney/Dipping is ready to serve.

190. Hawaii – 1st Day

One of the beautiful places on earth is Hawaii islands. The natural beauty of the islands can mesmerizes anyone. I feel so fortunate to visit such an alluring place on earth.

To celebrate our first wedding anniversary on December 2011, my husband took me to Honolulu (capital city of hawaii). The stay in city for 5 days was so new and refreshing.

First day, we just explored around the hotel we stayed and just relaxed. It was so nice to meet the hawaiian people. They are so kind and welcoming. The weather of the city is magical which makes you impossible to forecast. We carried umbrella all the time with us. As we stayed in 16th floor, I had a great time experiencing pacific ocean’s tidal wind. We just felt so heavenly on first day.
